COLLABORATION
Jale Hürdoğan is a multidisciplinary artist and fashion designer who blends elegant sophistication with a touch of quirkiness. Her Sephardic heritage and upbringing in Izmir, her academic background in Economics at Boğaziçi University, and her art studies at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago provide a rich foundation for her creative exploration. With 20+ years of experience, including a decade leading her own brand, "Janucha by Jale Hürdoğan," she is known for her striking use of color and unique, figurative drawings. Her love of the animals she shares her home with (three cats and a dog) also discreetly influences her work. Currently, Jale focuses on recycling, seeing potential in discarded materials and transforming them into conceptually driven works of art. Through techniques such as glass painting, illustration, and textile manipulation (cutting, sewing, embroidery, dyeing, and knitting), Jale breathes new life into worn-out materials, creating pieces that reflect her inner creativity and explore themes of reuse as an artistic approach.

The hats she created in collaboration with Rust and Rich are carefully selected by the artist and individually painted and illustrated. Each hat is unique and original.
