DESIGN STORY

We designed the Crescent and Star model with the aim of reinterpreting one of Turkey's most powerful shared symbols through a minimalist, modern, and character-driven design approach.

Instead of using any text or additional graphics in this model, we made the crescent and star forms the primary language of the design. We structured the embroidery composition, which extends from the front panel to the visor, as a single, cohesive unit. We consciously chose to use metallic embroidery thread for the stars. With this detail, we aimed to make the value and radiance carried by the stars feel even stronger within the design.

By bringing together one of Turkey's most meaningful symbols with strong embroidery craftsmanship and a minimalist design language, we developed this model as a character-driven hat that can be comfortably worn in any setting.

ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Trucker Hat - Urban Collection - Crescent & Star - Red, is a special trucker hat model within the RustandRich Urban Collection that interprets Turkey’s most powerful symbols with a modern design approach. Its red front section, white mesh back, and design prepared entirely with embroidery applications offer a strong and striking look.

The large crescent motif on the front of the hat and the star motif extending onto the brim are applied using a high-density embroidery technique. The star motifs repeating along the front section and the brim are specially stitched using metallic embroidery thread. The metallic embroidery application gives the star motifs a striking appearance at different light angles, forming one of the most characteristic details of the design.

The left side of the hat features a special logo detail inspired by the Turkish flag. The right side features a special logo detail bearing the RustandRich logo.

The combination of the red front fabric and the white mesh back completes the classic trucker hat look with a modern interpretation. While the white mesh back offers all-day comfort with its breathable structure, the adjustable snapback closure system easily adapts to different head sizes.

The text "Know Your Place" is featured on the underside of the brim with an embroidery application.

Inside, a cotton lining is used on the surface in contact with the skin to provide a comfortable user experience. RustandRich branded tapes and a cotton sweatband ensure comfortable use throughout the day.
