DESIGN STORY
Tokyo is one of the most inspiring cities in the world, where tradition and the future meet in the same city. While designing this model, we wanted to bring together the Japanese aesthetic sense, the disciplined production culture, and the dynamism of modern urban life in a single design.
We reinterpreted the Tokyo Richies design on the front section with our own design language, inspired by classical Japanese typography. This work is not merely a visual detail; it is a unique symbol that reflects the city's cultural heritage, contemporary identity, and strong character.
By choosing herringbone fabric, we have given a modern interpretation to traditional weaving culture. By combining tile, beige, and burgundy tones, we aimed to express the balance Tokyo establishes between the past and the future through colors.
We developed this model to merge Tokyo’s discipline, productivity, and unique urban spirit with the RustandRich design philosophy. Because for us, every hat is not just an accessory. Each model is a unique piece of design that carries the culture, character, and story of the city that inspires us.
ABOUT THE PRODUCT
Trucker Hat - City’s Collection - Tokyo - Tile, RustandRich City’s Collection is one of the unique models inspired by Tokyo’s modern urban culture. Its front panel and visor, featuring a herringbone pattern in tile and off-white tones, combine a classic texture with a modern look.
The Tokyo Richies design on the front, applied over a red background, is crafted using a high-density 3D embroidery technique. While the circular background is completed with a tight-stitch embroidery application, contrast-colored embroidery detailing is used on the outer frame. The multi-layered embroidery structure on the front adds strong depth and character to the design.
There is a logo detail inspired by Tokyo characters on one side, and the RustandRich logo detail on the other. The tile-toned herringbone-patterned visor is complemented by a burgundy under-visor fabric. The back features a beige mesh structure and a tone-on-tone adjustable snapback closure system.
Inside, a cotton lining is used on the surface touching the skin to provide a comfortable wearing experience. The RustandRich branded tapes and cotton sweatband ensure comfort throughout the day.
